Kore Soundpacks not working properly in Ableton Live.
I've applied all the recent updates from Native Instruments, and all is well in Kore 2 stand alone, Brainspawn Forte PE, and in Sonar PE 8.5.3. But when I use Kore 2 in Ableton Live 8, some of the Kore Soundpacks don't work. I haven't tested them all, but in Sonic Fiction and 57 Drawbar, I get a message that Kontakt 3 can't be loaded, and there is no sound.
I've tried Live 8.0.4 and 8.1.3b (beta). I've rebuilt the database and tried adding various paths to the Kore 2 database, with no improvement. I followed all instructions when installing the NI updates, and checked both company's forums (NI and Live).
Any ideas on why Kore 2 works fine in other hosts, but not in Live?
Thanks.

Re: Kore Soundpacks not working properly in Ableton Live
As I said in your thread in the Kore forum, run Live as administrator.

If you're still having problems, I'd guess your plugin folder's in C:\Program Files. If so, you might want to consider moving it; either to the root of your C:\ drive or to another drive entirely.

NOTE: This is also posted at NI. I put it here in case Live users may have a similar problem.

A little more info. I have installed and updated Kore 2, Kontakt Komplete 5 and 6. All work fine in Sonar and Forte. NI Service Center says I am up to date.
When I load Kore 2 into Live 8, I get this message: "The Database was modified by a newer version of Kore 2. Changes made to the Database will not be saved."
When I load a patch (preset) from a Soundpack, say "...I've Seen Things" form Sonic Fiction, I see this:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5948724/Kore%20 ... roblem.jpg
Source Channel shows a yellow question mark beside "Kontakt 3." Message is "...Kontakt 3 could not be loaded."
Input Channel shows a yellow question mark beside "I've Seen Things...(patch name)." Message is "...Absynth 4 could not be loaded."
When I load the same patch in stand alone or the other hosts, there are no question marks. Also, clicking on Source/Kontakt 3 launches Kontakt 4. Clicking on Input/patch name launches Absynth 5.
It looks to me like the problem is in Live, not Kore 2.

Re: Kore Soundpacks not working properly in Ableton Live SOLVED
I found I had two KORE2.dlls, one in VSTplugins, one in a subfolder. I moved the newer to overwrite the older, and all is well.
As usual, it was USER ERROR.
Thanks again, ew, for spending your time to help. Your suggestions were right on.
