I have an Electro Harmonix HOG and I've seen some cool Youtube stuff lately of people using midi step sequencers to control the expression of their HOGS, yielding some great results. I was wondering if I could do that with a sequencer from live? If so, which one should I use and how would I configure everything? obviously from the MIDI out of my interface to the HOG In but what/how do I select for that sequencer to send its MIDI info OUT through the interface?
Thanks

the only midi the hog seems to respond to (mind you, i don't have the unit, i just found this on the web...) is midi pitchbend.Faldoe wrote:plz!!! Halp.

Can I make a sequencer in Ableton put out Midi Pitch Bend commands? - like notes in a normal sequencer?borg wrote:the only midi the hog seems to respond to (mind you, i don't have the unit, i just found this on the web...) is midi pitchbend.Faldoe wrote:plz!!! Halp.

It's like CC data rather than note data though, i.e. it's in the clip envelope or automation lane.
You know you could always try it, and tell us if it works. Imagine the joy of finding out someting cool like this on your own and then showing it off to the rest of the world.
