Audio Unit parameter visibility.. bug or feature ?

If you drag and drop an AU plugin on a track, then unfold the Device Parameters, the parameters are visible as I would expect.. however, if you drag and drop an AU *preset* of the same plugin on a new track, when you unfold the Device Parameters, there are no parameters configured. This is a bit of a pain if you are expecting to use an APC to control the device!

This is not something I have ever noticed before as I only recently got an APC, so I dunno if its an 'expected' behaviour or perhaps a bug.. hopefully somebody can confirm and I will report it if its a bug This is in 8.1.13 RC2 btw.

Looks like a bug to me. I would at least expect that the parameter
configuration is saved in the preset. It is not at the moment.

For the AU presets, Live is using the standard ".aupreset" format
which does not allow to save these assignments. So that is the reason
why it doesn't work. That's not a satisfactory situation IMHO.

Jan says a workaround would be to put the AU in a rack (Command-G).
