LOADING VSTS!!

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!! ive downloaded some vsts and they have come as .rar files so ive downloaded a .rar file extractor. but my abelton wont reconise that i have any vsts on file! how do i load vsts into abelton? ive tried a few suggestions and none of them work! im begining to think that im just being dumb as it seems everyone else can do this but i cant!! PLEASE I NEED HELP!!!!!!!

You need to extract the files from the rar into a temporary file. Then move the extracted files into your vst folder as defeined to Ableton. I would do one vst at a time, it is easier to see what is going on.

get a packager tool like this one: http://www.7-zip.org install and unpack the plugins (usually one .dll).
Then copy one at a time to your configured VST folder and start Live. Now they should show.

Thanks for the help guys but i just cant figure it out! im new to computers and writing music! im just gonna ask my mate to show me in england!! unfortunatly thats two months away!!!

HA! got it!!!! yay!! i wasnt clicking the save button at the top of the box on vst settings!! lol! its always the simple things that you miss!! cheers guys youve been a big help!!
