Its impossible to really manipulate sound unless you have an understanding of what it actually is.

very insightful! cheers for the link! im some what of a noob to writing music and ive just been playing with sounds til i find something that sounds good! now i can adjust my sound with slightly more precision! :)

yeah im gonna have to as most of the stuff i hear goes over my head! ive been dj-ing for ten years but only been writing for 1 year! so much more to writing than just playing the tracks and beat macthing! :lol:
