it just sounds extremly spammi for people that dont see much sense in the "free" tutorials and live packs where you can get much more when you subscribe.....

ok..what is commom knowledge for longtime users is a wonderfull new world for newbies...

its just intersting how much money can be generated with teaching ableton live...
in the past people did that just for free... but times are changing...


i came along many sites in the past where people offer free education or tools, sounds etc... but they usually never are as good conncted with youtube and have all this pay options on theire sites like a professional web shop..

good things look different to me.. this looks rather like some happy hightech beggears campaign...

like reading cards on a fun fair..or the good ol wondermedicin in the wild west...

i went to the ableton demo down in shoreditch the other year with pitch black and tom both giving demonstrations about how they use ableton. i found the demonstrations to be informative and eye opening. and judging from some of the audience responses when tom showed us some of his tips, they did too

i have spent about 6 years learning how to use this program and at this point in time i think i am not too bad at it, though compared to some other people, for example mr cosm, i still have a long way to go. i have looked at the manual, i have watched videos on youtube, i have followed people's tutorials, i have attended demonstrations and i have spoken with people. there is more than one way to learn how to use it

thousands of people from different backgrounds who like many different styles of music use this program and i would think that what is a matter of fact tip or idea for one person would be eye opening and enthralling to another. some people could probably learn a thing or two from me as well - maybe

if tom cosm wants to try and make some money from what he does - go ahead

no, i didn´t say that! i said: i learned to use live better for producing my stuff. i´m a professional that knows logic inside out and got bored to use it. i discoverd live and had more fun working with it. toms tutorials just helped me to understand some things faster. of course i read the manual a lot of times, but i think it´s cooler to have somebody that shows you these things in an enjoyable way. there is more about teaching than topics! i like the way he teaches. if you don´t like the concept, ok! nobody is forcing you to like it.
remember, it is not bad only because you think it is bad. if you have a look in my signature you will see that my music is totally different than toms. i find a lot of inspiration in collaborating with other people, especially when they are from another genre.
by the way, i´m a guitar teacher in real life. i know how difficult it is to teach people.
in my opinion toms style of teaching is unique. peace!

just watching Tom work Live in his video tutorials has been informative. getting a set of his to see how a seasoned Live user works is worth a few bucks. writing a song with COSM could be of GREAT help to a n00b and seasoned user alike. with Live's 3 views it can be rough getting the workflow down. even the freebies he's already kicked down warrant a few bucks and at least a little respect.

where do you get off judging him dum? what's so great about your use of the forum? how many times have you been banned and you still can't act like a man?

it's a safe bet COSM could teach both of you a few things. I don't just mean about Live.
