I'm having trouble recording a digital piano (Roland) and Live 8.
When I connect the piano to my audio interface (soundBlaster X-fi front panel) using 1/4" jack into the interface from the audio out of the keyboard the audio track that I am recording to compiles all the other tracks (like I'm mixing all the tracks onto the audio track with the piano) onto the track that is the piano.
I'm confused about how to use the keyboard and record a composition that is many midi and audio tracks so I can record the piano part onto it's own track (over dubbing) without the track also recording all the other tracks onto the track that has the piano. (now I've said it twice)
If anyone can help me setup the piano so it records properly I would be greatly appreciative
