Has anyone tried this??
I have looked at the DJM-800 and the Midi functions, but I was wondering if ayone has done any work with a DJM-1000.

This is a guide on how to hook up a djm-800 to ableton. I'm assuming it's the same concept with a 1000?

For sure a good tutorial and a grip of information. I have been looking for a while at the DJM-1000, but the price is a bit much. I might as well stick with the surefire deal and go with a DJM-800 considering it has been tried and tested. Currently right now my set up could work live just shy of an over priced Macbook, but I would like to go with a full on mixer cause the knobs on the Akai midi controllers much like others lack the feel of the knobs and faders as well.
