Is it rely this slow on a dual G5?!?!

I was very sick of windows so I made the switch to a mac. I have read the posts and the benchmark and it seems that my computer is about as fast as a p4 3gig at least so I figured no problem. Well I have loaded up to instances of minimonsa playing MONO leeds and i am hitting 65% cpu!! WHAT? Can this be true? I have two gigs of ddr400 in this computer there is not a single bit of info streaming from a disk anywhere. I am not sure what to say. Dual 1.8 G5 = 2500 + 2 gigs of ram 300 + Live4 = 600 and 200 on a soft synth. Am I wrong for being a little freaked out when I have to count single notes and when I get to say 2 I have to start recording it to audio so I dont bonk my G5? There is a couple of compressors running but rely this is just sad.

I am not even rely looking for a reply at the moment I guess I am just venting.

live doesn't support dual processors.

Where did you hear that? It is putting full use of both of my processors.

Edit: Dam! looks like i have to take this back. it looks like when I hit 50% my sound starts to get choppy in live. But then I can open reason and pull up a subtractor and a RV7000 complex reverb and is has little to no inpact on the sounds that are being played with soft synths in Live. There ya go.
