Oh, my! Is this also available for Ipod Touch?

EDIT: never mind - it is!

I think I'm finally going to consider an Eye-pod touch - especially considering that it - according to Apple - actually has
longer battery life than the Nanos, and almost as long as the Classic.

Funny thing is that if it runs on the iPhone, they should be able to make it run on OSX with a few code tweaks. Hope they do it.

Those buttons seem to be very small... usability might suffer from that. Should be better on the Ipad...

oooooh! i want this.
the thing that makes rebirth and reason so appealing to me is its like playing a video game.
i never feel like i am making a hit in it. i just feel like im having fun messing around.
i bet we will see reason on the iphone and ipad soon. if so i will be buying an ipad.

wrong asshole.
www.rebirthmuseum.com wrote: Mac OS X

To burn a CD (that you need to have inserted each time you run ReBirth), download ReBirth RB-338 2.0.cdr. Again, this option is only available to OS X users (although once you have burnt the CD, you'll be able to use it on both OS X and OS 9).

ReBirth 2.0.1 Torrent
MacOS version complete CD - 369 mb

This is a BitTorrent download. If you don't have a BitTorrent client, check here for example: http://azureus.sourceforge.net

Installing from CD (requires blank CD-R disc)
Download "ReBirth RB-338 2.0 cdr.cdr" and put it on your Desktop. Launch the application "Disk utility" (included with Mac OS X). Locate the item "ReBirth RB-338 2.0.cdr" in the list to the left and click on it to select it. Click the Burn button on the Toolbar. Follow the instructions on screen.

When the disk is ready, quit Disk Utility and insert the disk again. Double click "Install ReBirth RB-338". Follow the instructions on screen.

You left some shit out, asshole.

"the cdr version only works for OS X users (who plan to run ReBirth in classic mode)."

Classic mode ended with Leopard (10.5) and was never supported on Intel Macs.

So yes, it works on a PPC Mac running OS X 10.4 or earlier running in Classic mode. Classic mode is an OS 9 emulation, in case you were wondering.

So no, there is no native support for OS X.

Nope. I left nothin out.

Until you threw your little cowboy hat into the ring there was no mention of anything more specific than 'OSX'

Well sorry but the quote I cited was not in your post so you quite literally left something out.

It's okay man, you just didn't know and they should have put that information under the OS X heading anyway.

Maybe you're missing some context.
Until recently, SubFunk has had a ppc mac for years.
So it seems to me he wasn't using rebirth while he had the opportunity.

As for sporkles, I think my response was appropriate and factual enough.

I also am running 10.4 , and am only now updating to 10.5
Believe it or not, there are many like me... I've got a ppc ibook too.

What can I say, rebirth works for me. On OSX.

Ha! You really did leave a lot out!

When I say to someone in 2010 "It works on OS X" I don't assume I'm talking to the guy who's still running things in Classic. If somebody gets on this forum and says "I've got Cell Synth Working on OS X!" and it turns out he's running it under Classic in Jaguar on his eMac, then I'm going to call the guy a, what's the term you guys use, a wanker?
