Hello,
I was playing a track with APC 40 and when the project is open and playing I can hear a slight clip when arming the track to play with midi keyboard. Annoyance as the kind of click plays through the returns of the project any reason why? I have been trying to up the buffer but I don't think it is due to that. Any help greatly apreciated.

why not?david_morin wrote:I have been trying to up the buffer but I don't think it is due to that.
you ask Live to do something and it chokes for a second. seems to follow that it's a sign that Live barely has the power to do this task. give it more power with a larger buffer.
guess you could trash your preferences file to reset your Live settings and start over.

However - I found *a* solution through reading about a slightly different problem that had the same type of symptom.
First of all, read this for some background on the Options file if you have never used it:
http://www.ableton.com/pages/faq/options_text
Then create an Options.txt file with this parameter in it:
-StrictDelayCompensation
This cures the problem for me. I've only been using this workaround for a week or so but have had no issues so far, give it a try and let us know how it goes
