Hi,
I've been using the loop in the clip view to warp my songs, looping through them to see if the metronome matches the beats. But when I set up the loop the first time and launch the clip, the loop only plays once, then the clip stops. When I relaunch the clip, it loops fine. Does somebody know what this is due to and how to resolve this?
thanks for your help!
problem with loop only playing once
Re: problem with loop only playing once
Hi Salokin,
welcome to the forum!
Sounds strange, which version of Live do you use on which OS?
Please check the Loop/Start/End-maker settings, could if be the end marker is placed somewhat after the loop brace, do you scrub through the clip adjusting the markers?
If you´re not sure, please send a Liveset showing the problem to [email protected]
Best,
Jörg

Re: problem with loop only playing once
Hi Jorg!
thanks for answering
I'm on Mac OS tiger 10.4.11, with the latest version of LIVE, 8.1.3
this happens when I am warping: I usually use auto warp, then come in and start by ajusting the first warp marker. I set the loop to 4 bars and launch the clip by tapping its play button in the session view. Sometimes it only plays once and stops. Other times it works just fine. But it only happens that first time. Once I relauch it, it's always fine and I can scrub through the song, it keeps on looping.
You were saying that this might be because the end marker is placed outside of the loop brace? Are you talking about the marker way at the end of the song with an arrow pointing to the left (like the start marker but pointing in the other direction)? Yes, it is out of the loop brace. Is this what is causing the problem?

Re: problem with loop only playing once
Hi Salokin,
the loop brace/end marker would only be a problem if you started/scrub the clip at a point later than the loop brace accidentally, but the way you describe it this should not be the culprit.
Could you send a Liveset demonstrating this problem to [email protected] ?
Best,
Jörg
