To access the M4L demo:
1 Install maxforlive from here
2 In Live, go into options\preferences\user account licenses and switch "show all products at startup" to yes.

next time you start live you will get:

@crumhorn, did you install maxforlive?
Sorry, but this is not true !dum wrote: what you don't seem or want to consider is that m4l IS priced at a 'runtime' price.

that's difficult? good luck learning max/msp!rompling wrote:Thanks a lot - not easy just to d/load max4 live . Don`t bode well for the acutal program if its a mission just to find it and d/load![]()

I'm all for helping each other.
It's not strictly true of course, but you only have to look at the pricing concessions being made and the included content to realise that a non-editable runtime isn't on the cards. People claim they would be happy to pay $100 for a non-editable runtime, under the premise that they are not programmers. Fine, then they should be happy to know that included with M4L is at least $200 worth of content.... So save your pennies for longer. Problem solved. And you're not left with a 'crippled' M4L as a result.Coupe70 wrote:Sorry, but this is not true !dum wrote: what you don't seem or want to consider is that m4l IS priced at a 'runtime' price.
The actual price only for a Max runtime is 0$ at the moment.
If I would follow your argumentation and substract the 200$
for Pluggo we should all ask for a M4L FULL VERSION without
content for 100$ !
But nobody does. And nobody asks for a FREE M4L runtime (I
wouldn't mind if it was free...). Paying 100$ seems quite
fair to me.
I don't care about Pluggo, what I am really interested in is
the user library. So yes, 100$ for a runtime without Pluggo
would still be ok for me.
