On the fly looping?
On the fly looping?
Is it possible to be playing a track in live and and with the push of a button tell it to loop 4 bars or whatever?
I've looked at looper but I have no idea what that is?
Any possibilities appreciated!

Re: On the fly looping?
in MIDI map mode you can map the loop start, end and on/off buttons, as well as the length to a knob

Re: On the fly looping?
Question: I'm using a nanokontrol, and I'd like to map a knob to the loop length quantity. I'd like to make it so the knob sets the loop length from 1 to 2, 4, 8, 12, 16, 24, and 36. Or even just to successive powers of two. How would I go about this, using the korg kontrol editor software or otherwise?
Thanks in advance.

when you are in MIDI map mode the "length" field in the clip view under Loop will be lit up blue so you can map it.SquidHelmet wrote:Question: I'm using a nanokontrol, and I'd like to map a knob to the loop length quantity. Re: On the fly looping?
No, I know how to map a midi controller - my question is about scaling the values for loop length in a specific way. Simply mapping a knob creates an un-necessarily crazy and impractical range and I want to simplify things for myself.

Sounds like a job for M4L.
Not sure how you would do it but I bet if you asked in the M4L section of this forum someone might be able to point you in the direction of building a M4L patch that could do this.
