Okey this might be ultra general knowledge for most of you but not for me since i kind of ignore the whole warping aspect until now and rather tried to get to know the other side of ableton first.
Basicly i have an acapella from a song wich is about 90ish bpm and i want to use it in a song which will be around 126-7. Ive made a kick drum 4x4 beat pattern and loaded the sample into there. ofcourse it sounds too fast and i ve tried warping it but i only seem to mess it more and more up each time i start from new. I've looked into serveral warping tutorials but they only seem to work around the original bpm. Do you know any tutorials that will explain it to a kid with ADHD who needs things to get explained really well? This is driving me nuts.
warping original bpm
Re: warping original bpm
Start with the original bpm.
Warp the track (helps sometimes to have the original music as a reference).
Make sure the warping is super accurate and plays exactly on beat.
Change the tempo, or hit the save button on the clip's properties, Or drag the clip into the Live Library and give it a title for later use.
Open your 127-ish project and your file should play along nicely. (assuming you are using an appropriate warping algorithm)
