Indeed. The absolutely only thing that sucks about living in Seattle compared to Chicago is that the pizza here sucks ass in comparison. I was just back in Chicago a couple weeks ago and ate pizza like every day trying to get my fill.

We've been to so many highly rated Pizza joints here, and they all taste and look identical. Medium thickness crust with no real flavor, sauce that's too sweet, and never enough toppings.

im ny pizza fan. THIN crust baked to a crisp, whatever makes a good sauce, and an appropriate amount of toppings without overloading the pizza with crap. Whenever I got to the high rated joints around here, I tell them strait up that if they give me a piazza that flops when I pick it up, that shit is getting sent back.

the sad thing is that one of the best pizzas I've found is actually a line of frozen pizzas from trader joes. its a thin crust pizza with various meats, bell peppers, and onions and crap. cant say much for the sauce but they get everything else right

as far as deep dish style goes, we actually have some great joints around here that do that pretty well

Funny, we make our own pizzas with Traitor Joes stuff too, they definitely have the crust right.

Agreed. A lot of people are brainwashed east coast sausage suckers! There's any number of places you could go to locally and buy your own ingredients and build your own pizza that would be just as good as anything you'd buy in Chicago or New York and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a plane ticket to go get a pizza. Not to mention you have complete control over what goes on your pizza and you can optimize it to your taste. There's absolutely no quality difference you hipster twats!!!!!
