control automation through asigning values?

is it possible to control automation for a certain peramiter through asigning the values as opposed to simply clicking on the automation graphic and adding the point values?

im trying to understand a higher level of control.

hi, sorry don't get exactly what you mean..

all the parameters you could automate can be controlled by drwing an envelope or by recording the automation with a midicontroller which has to be assigned to the regarding parameters.
