This may spark some flames, but I don't care. I think Allen & Heath deserves to be raked over the coals. I bought, scratch that BLEW nearly three thousand for a Xone 3D and it never fully functioned from day one. One of the MIDI pots is fracked -- it randomly spits out midi data when it isn't being touched. Sent it in for repairs (they replaced the mother board) but that didn't do anything. (Why they didn't just replace the midi slider is beyond me.)

The next disaster with this mixer came with a firmware upgrade. They emailed the driver update (an utterly arcane approach in the age of downloads) but the warning about not using a Mac to upgrade way down in the email where it wasn't found until it was way too late. What happened? Their upgrade software fried the BPM counter which means I'm gonna have send it back in for more repairs. Cripes. Unless you live right next to one of their authorized service centers and can afford to have it out of commission for weeks at a time, forget it. Get something else and you will be spared my misery.

I completely agree. I had a Xone 3D and got rid of after about 6 months. With the money I got back, I bought a DJM-800 and never looked back. In the end, I was out about a $1,000 but I condsider that the price of admission of a good leasson learned!

I love my Xone 92 rotary, but I never used it outside of regular djing (two turntables, two cdjs, etc..)
