T-resonator is a great piece of hardware. It can be very diverse, can be used on its own live (you don't even need a sound input) and has a killer sound... but, as its creator has expressed in funny language, its output has unpredictable dynamics. Unless you have already studied it well and know how it behaves (you need to do this before using it in a sensible, musical way) you must put a limiter or a compressor after it. I have been using it in recording sessions (featured on an album of mine) as well as live. One of my favorite pieces of hardware.

Hi Korhan,

yes, I'm really impatient to receive my unit...

(no news from the seller since yesterday though..)

the sounds it can make without any input audio are enough to sell it to me, it's like a freakin sci-fi noise generator!!

and I can't wait to test it like a send/return in live!!!

 Is there somewhere we can listen to your album featuring the T-resonator??

cheers

Hi supamonsta,

It can be other things than a sci-fi noise generator. You can create very smooth, etheral textures or LFO chopped sounds (the LFO on board is really versatile). The envelope follower is also very good and can manipulate LFO modulation amount as well.

Here are two tracks with the T-resonator from two albums. The oukf one contains some conversation snippets in the piece, which were later removed, but I just realized I uploaded the earlier version... so they are not a part of the piece :)))

1) https://dl.dropbox.com/u/3662697/0008%20REC.wav

Drums and little one shots = maschine
Sci-fi killing feedbacks and acid filter loops = live jomox tweaking

2) https://dl.dropbox.com/u/3662697/0009%20REC.wav
Synth loop = DSI Tetra
Delay and Sci)fi killing feedbacks = live jomox resonator

1) + 2) ableton live for audio processing, limiting, sidechain compression, etc.

ok, it's total crap, but you can see I'm really enjoying larsens, feedbacks and overloaded filtering

I'm in love. 8)
