So I am trying to assign a XY combination to two different Frequency parameters on a plug-in.
However, learn mode isn't very effective in doing this (Live isn't able to distinguish properly between the two X and Y values, and so always ends up assigning the Y value).
Why can't I edit the settings in the "MIDI Mappings" manually? Why can't I simply click on one assignment, and change the "Note/Control" from, say, "CC 11" to "CC 12"?
This seems like such a trivial thing to do, yet not possible in Live?

... anyone know if this is possible? Or if it isn't: why not?

grab a controller with two knobs, assign them the 2 cc s you need. Or use GLOVEPIE (pc only) to translate your qwerty keyboard into sending midi CC out. (via midi yoke)

Pretty inconvenient to have to use *another* controller to set up a particular controller, it would have been a lot easier to just double click on the MIDI CC value in the midi mappings, type "12" or "23" or whatever, then enter.
But if your way is the only way, I guess that's how it's got to be done.
