This is Ableton Live! forum, so i wanted to ask you - users of this DAW - to ask the development team of Live to add MIDI Out support from VST plugins, and if possible add SysEx output too, this will make Ctrlr much more usable, all events will be synced to audio and there will be no need for opening MIDI Out devices in the plugin (this causes problems on Windows, a lot of MIDI drivers don't allow opening MIDI devices more then once). I myslef only own a Lite version of Live that i got with my AKAI MPK49 keyboard so i can't really ask for this sort of stuff, but i imagine that if a bunch of users ask for this, it might be added.

A small heads up, i just finished testing the JX8P Ctrlr, a KORG DW8000/EX8000 editor beta is up. Currently J'm working on a Blofeld editor.

Once again thanks, and have fun.
Do you mean for example, i want to send the messages to my mopho, but cant because the midi device is already in use in live (preferences). So i need to disable it there before i can use the editor.

was a bit of a handling :(

yes, some drivers allow only 1 program to open the device, every other program that wants to open that device will fail on open.
Not all drivers have that, just some.

Event if you are able to use a MIDI device in Ctrlr directly, this is not a good idea, all events transmitted by Ctrlr will be out of sync, only when you transmit midi down the VST chain all messages will be perfectly synced by your host, some DAWs do that, some do that only for some message types (usually those short one note on/off CC, RPN, NRPN Aftertouch PolyPressure) but most fail to understand SysEx messages witch are used for a lot of synths (all those 80s-90s digitial and analogs, DSI Evolver and many more)

to ask the development team of Live to add MIDI Out support from VST plugins
done

But sadly I have absolutely NO HOPE for that update in ableton live.

we gotta find some alternatives... (standalone CTRLR + IAC DRIVER / virtual midi busses??? )

cheers

Do you plan to add a Roland JV1010 editor or at least patch selector (by name/category)?
That will make my day and make me so happy! However I saw your work and it's great. It's a pity I do not own any of the synths you're supporting... 8O
