bro
UNINSTALLL your m-audio driver first.
or you risk trashing core midi.

uninstall m-audio

then install the 10.3.9 update

then reinstall m-audio.

learn from my mistake.

M-Audio's aware of that problem, and the 1.4.4 version of the Firewire drivers is supposed to fix that. It happened to me when I upgraded to 10.3.8, I made a mental note, and promptly forgot about it when I went to 10.3.9

Slightly off topic-

Thanks for this heads up. I checked the m-audio site and found they had updated their drivers for the Delta series on April 12. Things seem cleaned up interface-wise, and the driver seems pretty solid performance-wise, although I only banged on it for an hour or so.

After testing it out for a few days I can safely say that everything's working fine, if not better than before, on my system.

10.3.9 & 4.1.2 working great here. Actually boot time and Safari speed have both seen dramatic improvements on my iMac G5 1.8.

And yup, Tiger's been pre-ordered!

tiger is on the way and my system is as stable as it's ever been :) Can't wait for the new au's and the ability to use multiple soundcards.
