Moving to a new laptop, new OS... Is this wise?

Right now I'm using a first generation Macbook, OSX 10.5.8 Leopard, running Ableton Live 7... I'm about to receive my new Macbook Pro, but it's running OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard... I'm in the middle of a huge mixing/mastering session, and my older laptop is having a tendency to top out while running all the mastering applications at once (hence why I am getting a newer model)... Am I going to have any problems moving to Snow Leopard? Universal Binary is still in the new OS, right?

You should be fine, just make sure you keep your old laptop as it is right now, so you have something to fall back on if the unexpected occurs.
