anyone with experience with Manley TNT or ADL 600?
anyone with experience with Manley TNT or ADL 600?
possibly upgrading my micpre with one of the two above and just looking for some other experiences people may have had with the units.. I've read the specs and most of the reviews online but just trying to get more opinions.. My mics are shure 57, 58, Groove tube 55 (or Sterling Audio 55), and a Sputnik.. mainly doing pop stuff.. this will be used mainly for vox and accoustic and electric guitars.. thanks,

at that price, why not the focusrite red 8? is there a reason you need a dual channel?
for that price, i think i would go for a Focusrite liquid channel, or the ISA 430mk2 producer or this looks like a great deal..
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/TrakPak/ which is an EL-9 Mike-E and an ELQ Lil FrEQ for $3K

Re: anyone with experience with Manley TNT or ADL 600?
I've read reviews on the Red 8 and there are enough negative ones to question it.. I was really interested in the Liquid 4Pre (didn't want the Liquid channel cuz I already have Liquid mix so the I already have the compressor stuff) but it's been so hard to find out any reviews on it.. I've only found 1 from sound on sound but that's it.. So I wonder why no one's really using the unit or why they are not available for review.. curretnly using a focusrite VMPro which is ok but I really really hollow and very brittle sounding to me.. I am sure it's no comparison to the Red8 but I just wanna give focusrite a rest
I like the ADL 600 as more people also are just running their whole mixes into this unit and having great results.. that's just the bonus to already having a great sound mic pre.. I've heard this unit once and it sounded great in comparison to UA LA610 and Avalon 737.. those were the ones I only listened to..
the manley, well I've haven't heard the actual unit cuz they didnt have any on stock but have read nothing but good things about it.. main this with this is versatility of both the solid state and tube channels..
anyways, thanks McQ714..

No experience with either, but I have experience with API A2D. I guess it all depends on the sound you're looking for. SO, if you haven't considered A2D yet, it may be worth a thought because:
- dual mic pre
- A/D converters
- pres from the 312

If the API doesn't do it for ya, I would take the Manley over the Presonus...
