File's bpm different in clip browser than when in song

Post by danoworks » Tue May 18, 2010 8:36 pm

OK this is something that is probably simple but I'm stuck. I've been recording beats from stylus as wav files at 120 bpm in a simple live file.
I'll launch an editor to save and rename the file. Then when I open a 120 bpm song file that I've been working on I just drag the clip in from the clip browser. Simple right? The problem is when I play the clip in the browser it plays at the correct tempo. When I drag it into my song it plays like twice as fast. The only way I can get it to play at the right bpm is to turn of the warp but off then it doesn't loop. It's showing 97 as the seq bpm but it's playing faster than 120. What am I doing wrong?
Any suggestions?
Thanks :?:

Either click :2 to halve the tempo or input 120.

Hey Thanks! That worked Great.
The only thing is the clip plays instantly when the layer is selected it's not blinking and waiting like the rest.
How do I change that?
Thanks,
Dan

Change quantization to global or 1 bar. Or whatever you're doing. If I understand your question correctly.

Just fiddle with everything. The manual is great. So is utilizing info view in the bottom left corner.
