Changing Drum Sound File Loop To Midi?

If I use a drum loop from the sample library but want to change it a bit for the chorus section etc.... is there a way to change the sound file into a midi file so I can go to midi view and change some beats?

Sorry, I know I'm a total noob to Ableton but I am trying to learn fast so I can lend my support to others here eventually!

On that note, my noob question; How do you slice to midi? I'm coming from years of recording real instruments in Cubase and am still on the Ableton learning curve. Just looking for a "right click here, choose this option and it slices to midi" type response....yea, think of me as a little monkey wanting point and click directions to get to the banana *smirk
