Anyone else scared to use Live LIVE?

I'm not confident about using Live 8 live at all.

I have used it a few times but I always remove any 3rd party plugs from my set-up,
which really f**ks me off as I don't normally use Lives effects much.

And it's even harder to shy from using plugins when the Maschine is a huge aspect of my writing...However it is also hard to shy from using Ableton when Max4Live is used so much in my sets. Perhaps I will be just a bedroom rockstar furever due to my paranoia anti-trust in the tools I use Orrrr...I could just go back to all analog

I have used Ableton Live since version 6 on stage and it has been 100%.

crashed on me again tonight too and all i could think was that if this was a gig and not a rehearsal, how totally embarrassing and unprofessional it would be...seriously seriously disappointed.

I'm not scared - but I'm still using 8.0.9... I occasionally get a crash when I quit Live, but that is a known quantity I can live with. I don't own M4L, an APC40 or Launchpad, and there's no new features in 8.1 that I need so there's no massive hurry for me to update. I'm a firm believer in "if it ain't fixed don't broke it".

wasnt comfortable using 8 in live situation.went back and rebuilt my current live dj set in 7.18 (no 3rd party plugs) about 8hrs of rehearsal and 2.5hr set last night seemes as solid as a rock, even had the power on apc kicked out several times and no issues. 7 for live work, 8 for production
