rock solid USB hub?

Post by nit » Sun May 23, 2010 12:19 pm

for my (late 2008) unibody MBP i'm in search for a good USB hub with more then 4 ports (at least 6).

since i'm on stage quite frequently it needs to be rock solid and i'm a little bit scared to just buy something because i've had some bad experiences with hubs with only 4 ports. the thing is that i don't really trust USB hubs with that many ports because you're splitting one port up in many, unfortunately i need one.

i hope i can get some suggestions.

bump. I am having problems with my unpowered 4 port hubs and need a better solution. The APC runs great plugged direct, but not through the hub so much. Suggestions? I have so many USB devices and would love to use them all at once!

I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's "it" seems weird and scary to me.

my usb hub from monoprice.com has been going for 15 months strong now.. its super cheap, small, has nice magnets on the bottom so it can stick to a case or something... and also I just want to mention the website cause they have good deals on cables and they are truly higher quality than most stuff on the market.

Do a search.

This has been discussed at least 3 times in the last year.

Several recommendations for a Powered Belkin 7 Port Hub - myself included.

The Belkin hub seems to be the one least likely to encounter problems. I've gone through a couple different models myself and the Belkin works just as it should.

another Belkin vote, even D-Link's and also lindy's are good, too.

Another vote for Belkin here. Own 3 different models, all work without issue.
