Question regarding drumrack

Post by hossegor » Tue May 25, 2010 9:16 am

When i drag samples into drumrack the default setting is always -12db. i usually end up turning the volume up manually.on each drumhit....is there a way to set the default volume in drumrack to 0db ?

thanx

Taken from Jon Margulies excellent 365 Ableton tips website... http://www.heatercore.net/2010/02/sensi ... racks.html
To get a customized Simpler to appear when dropping samples into a Drum Rack, you'll need to use a little drag and drop. First, open Live's file browser and display the Live Library, open up the Defaults folder, and you'll find the folders Dropping Samples -> On Drum Rack, as seen below:

Once you've got the Simpler configured the way you like (again, 70% Velocity to Volume is recommended if you want velocity sensitivity for your drums), grab it by the title bar and drag it into the browser, dropping it in the On Drum Rack folder. Now, any sample dropped on to a drum pad will use the defaults you specify.
