rest in peace Paul!
though it already looked like it was only a matter of time, since his drugged car accident a few years ago.
i was and still am a Slipknot fan, ofc the newer stuff got pretty gay and sold out emo like, but thats the times we live in.^^ THANX GREEN DAY!!!!
but Slipknot and Iowa really influenced and helped me during my wild wasted stupid youth.

one last thing i always will opine, is that Music doesnt have to be "technically" ambitious.
the one thing people always said about Sk. was that you could do the same songs with only 4 guys aswell, and that it was technically inelegant.
if it sounds good and the people like the show, keep it that way!
ofc its cool when its technically impressive -and- sounds good, see Mudvayne, -freakin'- awesome bass player
but the most important thing is the good sound
furthermore, toghether with some others (korn, soad, etc) they struck a whole generation.
and they -created- new metal.
amazing powerfull songs! i remember my cousin litterally throwing up (he was drubk aswell) the first time i showed him the song "Eyeless".
again he was drunk, but the Song was so loud and agressive that he really got (SIC) haha^^
and omfg my first KoRn concert

:D:D ah those were the days
guess thats all!°
again, RIP, and all condolences to the Family and the 8 brothers!
