live craches when deleting midi channel

Post by joey » Wed Feb 23, 2005 9:46 am

Same happens to me, but obviously only when deleting in the arrangement view, not in the scene view. Live slow´s down, but i´m able to kill the process and the last jobs are still up to date. I´m using Live version 4, not the latest one, in conjunction with a Korg Triton Pro and Propellerheads Reason.
Pentium 4, 2,8,gHz, Windows XP Home. The computer is only used for music production, no internet or other stuff.
Eveything else is working properly, especially the midi option is brilliant.

Hi Joey,

within Live 4.1 we fixed a a potential crash bug when deleting a MIDI track. So this should be solved since Live 4.1 and also in the latest beta 4.1.1b1.

Alex

Hi john gordon,

if you get this crash with Live 4.1 please try the latest beta Live 4.1.1b2. If you get this crash there too, please send me then the log file of Live 4.1.1b2.

Does the crash happen always or just with a certain Live set or a certain instrument?
Do you can reproduce it?

regards,
Alex

I
This happens to me but there is no pattern. Its very rare on my machinee though so hasnt bothered me. It makes no difference if its a heavy session or not. Maybe its specific to certain setup configurations?

If I can reproduce it after it happens I will let you know.

Hi Udoh,

if it is on a Mac with OS X please send me the crash log file of Live.
it should be located under: "~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/Live.crash.log"

Alex
