Awesome. That little box was my introduction to dance music production, spent ages convincing my friend we needed it for our band. Then I borrowed it for a year and never gave it back. It's successor the mc505 is still one of my favorite bits of gear ever. I'd kill to find one new in a box in some dusty old music store one day....

my studiopartner had one hidden in a plastic bag but he hasnt used it in a decade....of course i had to revitalize it and hook it up to ableton.
it sounds really cool...instant 90s sound

...the sequencer is a bit of a pain in the ass without a manual...compared to my mpc...but i love it...

Muwahahaha... I got to review that machine back in the day for a music magazine... of course I sampled the fuck out of it. It was an eye opener to see how good ROM library could be, when it isn't trying to be all things to all people. Nowadays it's all "4Gb of best psychothrashcountrycrossover snaredrums"
I feel old...

This is why I got it! I have always been hugely into and influenced by 90's techno and house, specifically early 90's.
One thing I always felt was missing from Live was the bank after bank of "classic" sounds.
Pretty excited about my new combination of the MC-303 and the MonoMachine.

I remember when it came out, which was basically after they realised that all the good music was made on their old eighties gear.
It never sounded very good to me, but looks like it's come full circle and what was cynical marketing back then is now "classic 90's" gear. I dont think UR or Beltram used a "MC" 303!
Quite novel though these days what with all the vst's an all though....have fun!

ctrl + shift + left/right = select between transients
ctrl + space = play selection

Completely serious: I have a MC-303 in sweet condition (its merely not so shiny anymore) for sale. Manual is intact. I'm from Norway though so it would probably be advantageous to live not too far away. Offers will be considered.
