Agreed. I just bought their VCI-100 mod after following it for a long time and determining it's the best option there is for Traktor.

Looking forward to some weekend noodling with it.

It's been a moment. My roommate basically inherited my CDJ/mixer setup, although I can use it any time, but he gets a lot more use out of it. He's never produced but has been DJing for a long time. If nothing else he usually does a DJ mix podcast once or twice a month. He lost his gear in the usual "I got a girlfriend" schemes years ago that always confuses me to this day. Girlfriend long gone....shocking!

I love Traktor and the possibilities but I hate mousing around. I tried other controllers but I was still mousing around more times than I'd like to be. The Djtechtools VCI looks like the best option with the least amount of mousing, and although I've heard great things about using Maschine with Traktor I don't really like the layout for that purpose.

Hm, does look interesting and I do really like the access to 4 decks at a time but I do have issues with wrapping my head around mapping and controlling the functions that are extra and less obvious...with any controller.

If you watch the videos on this page you can see they did a pretty good job of mapping things for maximum creativity and minimal mousing.

But I'm sure once I first plug it in it won't be as obvious at first, especially in regards to effects controls. I don't like a lot of effects abuse myself but some of the things shown in those videos are more about song manipulation and live remixing than overkilling on filter and delays. That I can dig.

I think it depends what you're looking for.
I still love good old Sonic State for the podcasts.

My friend is working on a production blog/site here, which is quite nice but I don't think it's gonna be fully operational until 2013.

Should I mention Music Radar?
OK it's a guilty pleasure!
