Can´t set up vst-plugin folder

Hi to all
since yesterday i´ve got a new computer win 7 64bit and now try to set it up.
i create a plugin folder called c:/ vstplugins and installed a few plugins in there.
in live 8.13 i press actived own plugin folder and set the path to c:/vst plugins.
then i pressed scan the plugin folder but nothing is showing up.
what did i wrong ?
how to get the plugins visible in lives vst plugin area ?

Which plugins did you install?

Some plugins have multiple locations that have to be specified during installation, e.g. one for the support files (usually c:\program files\) and one for the actual plugin (.dll) files. Are there any .dll files in your c:\vstplugins\ directory?

If not you may not have installed the plugins correctly.

If you choose to set up your own VST Plug in folder you need to instruct each install of any new plug-ins to your custom VST folder (Other wise they all default to Stienberg/VST Plugins like the sheep that they are)

Hi there
the harddisc-drive of my computer was completly empty.
all i got was the live8.13 installation on it.
so i create manually a folder called c:/vst plugins.
i started to install a few of my favourite plugins from fabfilter vulcano and simplon.
there are now two folders : one in c:/programme/fabfilter i guess that is the programfolder and the .dll files are in c:/vst plugins.
but after setting the path to where the .dlls are and scanning the folder the vst-area in live stays empty.
later on i will try with some other plugins.

Did you press "rescan plugins" after you installed them?
It's in the preferences, above where you set the folder.

the problem is solved !!!
i only installed the 64bit versions of the plugins......
after installing the 32bit versions everything works perfect !
