Whats up,

Nice track so far, I can groove to it.

As for the kick/bass issue, on my system it sounds pretty good, but depending on how you would like to shape it I think you could play with the sustain/decay on the kick. Since the kick is somewhat tonal, it is overpowering the bass melody A LITTLE. Now, this isn't necessarily a bad thing, just something to think about. Other than that, they seem to work pretty well together. If it was me, I would make the kick more of a quick thump, instead of a longer BVVvvv, if that makes sense, but there is nothing wrong with what you got going.

Cheers

Hi Jonny. For such a large wave rendered on SC, I had to turn the vol up and then it starts to distort. I assume I should have another listen later when I get to my studio with a sub woofer because I sense that it is where all the energy is. Nice groove and panning effects. I enjoyed listening. Thanks!

Very good work. At the beginning I thought, you mixed the bass to dominant, but when the music starts, it is well balanced. The bass line is great.

i agree also. I think you guys have stated the same problem really. the beat is no longer BWWWUMMMPH and more BUP. I also change the EQ curve on the bass line

I havnt changed the arrangement yet. The last half is just a repeat of the first half.

Check it! update

Hey Jonny. The updated version is getting better. I found that the bassline @1:00 to 1:55 is ringing low end overtones more than later on in the track. Check any automation you've got going on and match it to the latter parts. The kick could be improved with layering as I thought it is quite thin sounding especially when soloed. You may also benefit from a nice mastering chain on the master track to gel things together. This is a nice track that just need a few tweaks here and there. I think you do some damn fine work bro. Respectfully yours!
