Electribe esx1 and Live 4
Just got a new electribe and want to sync it with live.. I want the timing to be the same and to be able to play simple chord lines in absynth with the electribe's buttons..
Anyway, simplest way to do this? Also, anyone have a template with it set up or any tips and hints for using live with an electribe?
Thanks

i use an esx1 and live4. actually used it livepa a couple of weeks ago. worked great in the way u want to use it. i use the esx as a master, to midi thru my nord G2, then from the nord into my laptop, via a USB MIDISPORT 2x2 (http://www.midiman.net/products/en_us/M ... -main.html). so, when i hit play on my esx-1 all sequencers in the chain, the laptop as the last in the chain, start and stop when i hit stop on the esx.
setup is minimal.
im also using a beringer usb sliderbox, controlling each slider in live, that correlate to the inputs on my soundcard(motu 828). this setup works amazing in a live situation.
i use live mainly for pads and noize, and my nord for evrything, and the esx-1 for drums and random things that happen, cuz the esx is the don. learn it. live it. dont give up.

i've got a Sovtek LPS in one slot and an EI "Elite" in the other. The reason for 2 different tubes is because im recording "one shot" drum samples that i have layered up on the ESX... so I just combine the stereo sound into a mono sample. And benefit from a slightly different sound from the 2 tubes. I would recommend either of these tubes for use with full stereo output. The only unfortunate thing about the ESX is that its always noisy. Originally I thought that replacing the tubes could lower the noise but apparently the unit is just plain noisy.
I havent tried anything with the motion sequence and midi. that could be wild.
and whoever told you that the tubes are bypassed is full of shit. and i can prove it.
