Going for a minimal, lo-fi feel here:

Enjoy!

Nice one!

Maybe a less delay on the drums would be nice. It reminds me a little of a danish minimal musician called Dub Tractor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Uv8W42IZyE

deHaan,

Thanks man. I did wonder whether I'd overdone it slightly with the delay on the drums. I love that mellow scratchy goove thing that Dub Tractor have got going on - just the feel I was going for, thanks for the link :D

Nice ambient style track, although I feel that the intro is a bit long and when the lead instrument and beats come in around 2:30, some listeners may have turned off a minute ago already. (or sped through to the part where it builds up).

Maybe try and vary the chord/arpeggio sequence a little more too and bring in some other instruments, or percussion at least a minute sooner and I think you have a total winner of a track. ;)

Thanks quietman :D . I like the feel of this track but I agree it takes a long time to get going and then its all over. I might have a go at re-hashing it to make the structure better and put a bit more interest into it. Really appreciate the feedback.

Hi Andrew. Thanks for the feedback. Glad you like the textures. I think i was too focussed on textures and sort of forgot about composition. It was a good experiment for me and I think I'll develop it further. I'll have a play around with reverb when I do, but I think you'll agree reverb is very much a matter of personal taste.

T-man, I always appreciate you listening and taking time to comment. I feel I've really benefited from your honest (ok, sometimes brutal  ) feedback, but for some twisted reason I'm much happier when you either love it or hate it! I hope you're not pulling your punches here!?
