Hi,

there is just another "I'd like my tracks to sound professionnal" thread in the general section,

here is my answer :

-Read the ableton live manual back and forth and back and again

-Browse this forum, tips and tricks, tutorials by many helpful members (if you find the search engine difficult, just use google, type the keywords + forum.ableton )

-keywords are "kick layer", "bass line", "compression", "mixdown", "headroom", "beat patterns"...

-Use something to A/B regularly between your favorite genre tracks, and the sound you're working on

-Practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice...

genius idea, that should help (along with the noone reading forum rules) keeping the "impatient" threads to a minimum.

in other words i would vote for a new "noob" subforum with this exact sticky and nothing else.
or at least a noob thread, like "are you new and have a short noobish question?, Post it here!"

total noobs have a hard time here (i know this since i am one), youre to noobish to ask in the m.p. forum, so all you can do is read/search and write in the lounge (where apparently its forbidden to write about m.p.) xD.
the support forum looks to technical aswell imho^^

so i know there are many people who -do want- help the noobs with their annoying repeating questions (i would).

so imho a newb thread would get the noobs more involved and would let the "pros" in peace with their complicated m.p. problems which noone understands anyway ^^
