how to create loops from the floor up
Andreas: I experimented some more with your send mangler set and experienced a flash of joy when also including a send track with resonator pluged in, keeping at clean from resonators except the "tone" one - that could produce some nice bass and some freaky disharmonies.

Hi guys, I'm glad you enjoyed the template . Just wondering what kind of cpu usage you're getting? Iirc it was quite a hog.
Conny: yeah, adding resonators after the filters on the sends and tuning them in c, d#, g and Bflat for instance, for some frequency-dependant melody-triggering.
Again, the link is The SendMangler

CPU joggles between 9 and 40 % for me.

here on the 1.5ghz G4 Powerbook i made some alterations.
i changed the Autofilters from the Lo and Hi sends respectively to AUHipass and AULowpass, this way i get more frequency response (from 10hz to 22khz).
that being the only change, i never get above 17% cpu usage. and those are just quick peaks, its usually around 12-14% cpu.
this reminds me of a template i made a while back that was 5 bands with a couple of carefully placed supatrigga's
EDIT: correction, 16% peak, i had a suppatrigga on that i forgot to turn off.

Re: how to create loops from the floor up
This thing is all over my new stuff... or rather, the old version which is in the user library. Its structure is a mess but it just sounds so nice. Lovely. The sequencer is rather limited, I think, and that it's just step on/off and not volumes, but I ain't complaining. Will adapt it to a CList sequencer at some point, probably.AdamJay wrote:LimeLite!

well there's step on and accented step on, so thats good.noisetonepause wrote:This thing is all over my new stuff... or rather, the old version which is in the user library. and for the tie/pod sounds you can turn the "mod" assignment to decay on the more percussive sounds and i've found this gives you a workaround hack to volume on that sound.
i like it for just jamming. running it in standalone with audio hijack open with a tad bit of Apple reverb, Vintage Warmer, and a sprinkling of L2.
i've got a ton of jams here that i can just throw into a live set now.
just getting around to this.. mad! thanks againMachinate wrote:Hi guys, I'm glad you enjoyed the template . Just wondering what kind of cpu usage you're getting? Iirc it was quite a hog.]
it'll jump up to 19% for a split second but in general i'm getting 14-15% on a 1.47ghz G4
i've also been feeding hardware audio through it this morning.. reminds me of old kawai arps that if you let them run for a while would start spitting out really weird results. fuuun.
i didn't own any kawai synths but once owned a Kawai Q80 and i was thinking how much the send mangler reminded me of its onboard Arppegiator. i think it had 30 or 35 styles that you could scroll through and messing with this .als gave me a total flash back of the Q80.drush wrote: i've also been feeding hardware audio through it this morning.. reminds me of old kawai arps that if you let them run for a while would start spitting out really weird results. fuuun.

Machinate,
I appreciate you giving this away for free man. This joint is really incredible, and I can see using this extensively in creating the sounds for my next recording project!
Man. The last month and a half have been full of learning and revelation for me musically! Its' trippin me out.

Rahlo, the appreciation for this work is totally overwhelming for me. All I can say at this point is that something big is coming...rahlo wrote:Machinate,
