Well they come already assigned, which is handy ...

LV-1: you can adjust levels and mute OR solo OR ... and you can adjust 4 or more sends, but only one channel at a time ... you zoom to the track you want with the encoder and tweak. Takes some practice to be quick. You can also trigger clips and scenes wih the encoder. U need to play with one to make sense though.

LV-1 can be assigned for multi-track DJing as well.
each knob is a track level (x4)
plus 2 sliders per track for high pass and low pass filter.
use buttons for cue's and joystick for global FX.

What are all the buttons on the second unit (LX-1) for?
Their site doesn't really give you much in terms of info.
Cheers again

Municipal Void,

have you seen this high res image?
it shows in detail what they've premarked the buttons to do.

basically you get start/stop/mute/solo/input/record/ and crossfader select a and b. times 8 channels for bank 1, and then you can switch banks or "groups" to control channels 9 through 16.

Well, true... It *is* expensive. This is due to the EURO strength versus US Dollar and due to high shipping rates. Have a look at the calculation posted here http://www.nativeinstruments.de/forum_u ... post153431
in the Traktor Forums.... I do not charge anything extra, I leave it up to you if you want to include some sort of "handling fee"...

Dr. G,
I really appreciate what you are doing, and like many other people on this forum I would be interested in buying one from you. I was wondering what it would cost for one of each, with shipping and handling. I also would like to suggest selling them on ebay.
Regardless of whether or not you continued your wonderful export service in the manner you are conducting already, by seling them on ebay, some of us would feel more comfortable with the transaction. Yeah, and we would also have a clearer idea how much it costs.
I am under the impression that they would come to about $350 a piece? Yeah, I am definately jonesing for both!

I fully understand your point. This is the "sour point" in the whole process - trust. Well, those in doubt could always ask Mathias at Faderfox [email protected] wether I am trustworthy or not... but ebay could be an option, too, but this would make things even more expensive. The ebay fees would have to go into this calculation, too.

Would you mind having a look at this thread about the latest procedures and prices withoud ebay involved? This way, i only have to edit *one* posting if any changes arise.. This will give you the pricing information needed:
http://www.nativeinstruments.de/forum_u ... post153431

In a nutshell, a unit without any handling fee would be around 305,- US shipped to your door (note: The price may vary due to currency effects, I only edit the posting linked above from time to time!). Via ebay. another 32 EUR would come on top of this. This includes a small handling fee now - so, yes, this would be 348,- US as of today. For two pieces, the price would be around 597 US, depending on currency changes. Its less when you get two products, because this will lessen the ebay and posting fee parts considerably.

If anybody is interested in this ebay thing, let me know, I would be up to it. One more thing: I am not running a business, so I would put the items on ebay as a private auction - without any warranty on my side. I am pretty sure Faderfox would grant an informal guarantee, though, but I would have to ask.

Dr. G,

I have a couple questions for clarification:

Quote: "In a nutshell, a unit without any handling fee would be around 305 EUR shipped to your door (note: The price may vary due to currency effects, I only edit the posting linked above from time to time!)"

Question: I saw that they have been offered for 179 EU, so do you mean to say 305 US? I (doubt that the EU has gone down that much!).

Quote: "Via ebay. another 32 EUR would come on top of this. This includes a small handling fee now - so, yes, this would be 348,- US as of today. For two pieces, the price would be around 597 US"

Question: can I get some further clarification?

If I am right and they are 316 each without ebay, how much would they be together without ebay?

Geez, I'm drooling over here! Thinking bout selling one of my firewire interfaces. I definately have the cash for one already, but I will have to think about it for a couple days on principle (seeing as though I've made a couple purchases already this week). I may need to get an external hardrive (at least 250 GB) before I install Tiger later this week, and I would still want to have enough for a reasonable tip.

8)

Thanks for getting back,
You are the man.

Jeez, I made a mistake there... :x Of course its 305 US (corrected in my original posting...)

They would be around 548 US. They get a lot cheaper per piece when you buy two or three of them - this is due to the shipping costs which won't double.

In the meanwhile, a few people have written comments about how things went when they placed their "order". Pleace check the posting in the Traktor Forum which I have linked in the first posting in this thread.
