i had numerous problems using tiger and since then i have re-installed panther. Ableton have said that they haven't found any problems but i had heaps. It would just completely freeze up on sum occasions (twice using my m audio interface which i found out that they haven't released a suitable driver yet) and the other time just using the powerbook by itself with headfones.

Anyways since i re-installed panther it works like a charm

I think it's wise to stay a few steps behind the operating systems - they can be a little raw when they first come out.

Cheers

Hi folks,

just to clarify, so far we found no problems on OS X Tiger related to Live.
But to make sense of Live you need of course working drivers for you Audio/MIDI setup. So again, before you upgrade to Tiger, please get sure that such drivers are available.

The original statement can be found here:

As longer i ve tiger as more problems come along..something is degenerating... midi realtaed problems... mail is loosing the keychains...a bit strange... after the very good first experiance i am not too sure anymore... However..the first update of tiger might be earlier than the need of going back... Man, i hate this constantly changing state of my setup... I go back to a classical studiosetup soon... I get to old to spend 3 month the year with computer hazzle...

Personally haven't seen any problems with the combination, updated Live to 4.1.2 yesterday along with Tiger 10.4.1 have rendered to disk, ran audio, midi, etc. smooth sailing, no problems while using Live. running on a powerbook G4 867Mhz, 768mb ram.
