Predictions for today...?

Slovenia 0 : England 2
USA 1 : Algeria 0
Australia 0 : Serbia 1
Ghana 1 : Germany 0

...though who knows with the current English & German form... :?

I'd agree with those except for the top one where clearly you made some kind of error and put the scores round the wrong way.

 yeah, I know what you mean, it really could go the other way... but I dunno, I have a feeling that they (England) will get their act together a bit, if only for no other reason than they're not associated with the French as first on the bus back home... England must win to go through, a draw isn't enough, right?

I think you're wrong about Germany, they will win it.

England look afraid while singing the anthem. A good and predictable start there.

Congrats! If Germany win tonight, then I think it'll be England vs Germany in the next round! :D

any team is good enough (or can sit deep, defend and get lucky) in the last 16, so it doesn't really matter - Serbia or Ghana would be pretty much just as tough as Germany if we draw them.

Anyway, in spite of playing a very crappy and nervous last 20 minutes that had me 'touching the cloth',, we just about deserved it. Congrats to the USA too, they showed a lot of character to get that last minute goal to stay in (and come top of the group) and again had a good goal chalked off, so they deserved to go through.

Amazing game. If Dempsey would have made that free kick goal when he was bleeding it would have been an epic moment. Hat's off to Donovan for driving it home for keeps. Dude soccer rules.
