Guitar Latency Issues

Hi everyone, I am trying to use my Line 6 Pod X3 Live to record with Ableton Live 8 Lite. I really want to use the on board sounds I have built in on my Pod, but when I play, the audio volume is always in the red and the Latency is horrible. I tried turning the buffer size down but even when turn the buffer size down to where the sound quality was terrible and there was still a noticeable delay in the sound. Can someone please help, I have only been using Live for about a week now and I have no idea what I'm doing.

Also, I don't know if this helps, but here are my pc specs I'm running Live off of:
Samsung R580 laptop
windows 7 64 bit
4gb ram
dual i5 2.27gh processors.

Please try first, if installing the latest ASIO driver from the Line 6 website fixes the issue.

I installed the latest drivers and I'm still having the same problem.
