True, but out of every play he could have shown a card, Chiquidracula picked the worst one.

That was a really nice goal.

Thank goodness Spain vs Chile is not as dreary as Brazil vs Portugal, that put me into a coma.
I've seen more skill on the worst lowest division parochial Sunday League team on a muddy bog with 2 teams full of players still inebriated and bloated from 10 pints and a vindaloo the night before, the fans with pit bulls on leashes and 18 year old girls with multi babystrollers and 3 kids tripping you up when you run down the wing and laughing...

Good match this one, Chile getting a goal back makes things interesting both teams passing and moving well.

First time Brazil haven't scored in a world cup game since 1958, or something silly like that. Dreary they were.

the ref didn't help, he obviously told the teams at half-time that the red card would be coming out, after booking 7 in the first half, so both teams refrained from putting in a tackle and it was like watching a tame pre-season friendly a week before the big kick off when players don't play hard to avoid injury.

Indeed. I think Chili Brazil will be a corker to though.

wtf have switzerland been up to though, surely they could have scored a few against Honduras.

Nah; they definitely lost 0-1 to Argentina in '90 (which is the only one I could remember).

Ronaldo has been pretty bad in this tournament; he really wanted to best Brazil at their own game, but his dribbling has
been completely sub par; I thought he was supposed to be good at this?

Messi had more successful feints against Greece than Ronaldo has had in the entire tournament (and anyone who watched the
Greece match knows what I mean).

Too long playing in an easy league, virtually a non-contact sport in Spain. Also, like Scotland, there are only two really competitive teams.
