How to MIDI map the selection of a clip without launch

Hi All,

I want to midi map the function that occurs when you double click an clip in session view to see the waveform..

I have a launchpad and can only map the launch of the clip, if i want to see the waveform BEFORE launch the clip, i need to double click with the mouse...

anyone tried to so something similar??

i'd like to do somthing simular...

can any 1 say basically how this can be done.. or point me in the right direction...?
