Dear Ableton Forum:
I would like to request your help with a few things.
I recently upgraded to Ableton Live 8, and have been having a few issues. I am still a relatively new Ableton user, so please bear with me!
1. My version of Live is 8.1.3
2. I have a Macbook Pro, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X, Version 10.5.8
3. My audio hardware - I use a Monome Grayscale 64 and and RME Fireface 800, as well as an Edirol PCR-M30 Keyboard
4. Here are the problems:
a) When I trigger a MIDI clip, Ableton plays back two notes at the start of the clip. The notes are played in rapid succession. (It's makes a stuttering-like sound) Someone suggested this might be some sort of MIDI loop? Please advise. This is the most pressing problem on this list.
b) I have some plug-ins for Live 7 that do not work with Live 8. I used to have a copy of Live 7, but it seems to have changed to Live 8 since my upgrade. (I think 8 over-wrote 7) I'd still like to use Live 7 to use these plug-ins, but don't seem to have a copy of the program anymore. However, I do have a serial number for Live 7. Is there any way I can download a copy of Live 7 again, so I can continue to use my plug-ins?
c) I'd like to use my Monome Grayscale 64, and my Edirol PCR-M30 controller at the same time. I am currently using MIDI with the Monome Grayscale, and the PCR-M30 connects to my computer via USB. Do you have any suggestions to make these two devices both work at the same time? I can only seem to use one or the other.
d) I have a unlock codes for Sampler (I purchased these when I got Ableton Live 6) Am I able to use these to unlock Sampler in 8, or do I need to purchase an upgrade kit for this?
Thank you very much (in advance) for all of your help!
I look forward to receiving your responses.
