Re: My New iPad: Daily Reports!
So is the connection actually an issue and therefore the following thing a cover up? Or is it just a placebo effect from having a signal meter as reliable as Live's CPU meter?

Longer than you expected originally?sparklepuff wrote:So how long did I have to wait?sparklepuff wrote: iPhone = $199
Rubber Bumper = $29
Really? You sell me a product that does not work at all like it is supposed to, then tell me I have to spent 15% the price of the phone to get it to work the way it should? I'm counting down the minutes until the first class action lawsuit is filed. Those bumpers should be free if they are required to get the phone to work.
But it will still be fun watching how this all plays out. Maybe God/man will unleash another disaster to distract us from this story.
Re: My New iPad: Daily Reports!
Who knows. From everything I've seen everybody is all up in arms over the visual aspect of it. There's groups of people who are reporting no problems then there's people like sparklepuff who is reporting that every iPhone he's come into contact with has this problem.hoffman2k wrote:So is the connection actually an issue and therefore the following thing a cover up? hmmmm.... i dunno... *sniff sniff* I smell something funny.
Somebody posted a link a few pages back that had a dude placing his finger on the corner of the phone that actually stopped the download/page load. he moved his finger and it resumed. I hardly think that larger fractions on the side of the bars (which are just an image/GUI reporting mechanism) are going to change the signal even if it reports it differently.
Still, placebo effect is probably running a muck at this point so the truth of the matter now rivals only the White House in actual transparency... or lack thereof.

Streaming an episode of Spartacus through the Netflix app on 3g on the iPad at work right now. Dope.

Took my iPad on it's first flight yesterday. All can say is win. The form factor and weight make it ideal for using in a limited space on a plane.
