Consolidation across tracks?

Post by hambone1 » Tue Apr 26, 2005 8:28 pm

Maybe (probably!) I'm being really stupid here...

I've recorded 6 MIDI parts on separate tracks. I've consolidated each track, but now I want to consolidate the 6 tracks into 1 for exporting.

How do I do this? I've tried copying one track and pasting it onto another one, but it simply replaces the latter with the former. Do I need to do an audio-type bounce?

Seems like there must be an easier way...

Thanks!

Route all these midi tracks to another midi track. Press record :D
mbp 2.66, osx 10.6.8, 8GB ram.

Thanks!

Thought there might be a quicker & easier cut 'n paste.

I have never thought of this before, always done the bounce to audio.

So say if you have an insert on the first midi track such as autopan or arpache5 (Cubase sx) will it save those settings along with the other tracks?

How would you route though? Change the channels to that one channel, mind you the tracks would change their settings then before youve recorded?
