Drum rack kit replaces kit already in rack

Post by indigo_osc » Mon Jul 05, 2010 3:23 pm

Hi Everybody,

I got a problem that's got me stumped:

I've got a drum rack with a kit that takes up one square of space (i.e. 16 pads). When I try to drag an extra kit into the drum rack, it automatically takes up the space of the original kit.

However, I want both kits to be playable and situated right next to each other in the drum rack. It seems that wherever I drag the new kit (first pad, last pad, somewhere in between), it always ends up on top of the original kit.

I play the pads with my korg padKontrol and am using the factory preset in order to play the visible pads. (So that wherever I drag the little white square, it shows the pads that I can trigger with the padKontrol.)
:-) :-D :-) If LEGO had VST and MIDI functionality, it would be just as cool as ABLETON :-) :-D :-)

There's no wayround this afaik.

work-a-rounds:

One alternative is to load up a full kit, then go to the individual drum parts in drum racks browder and chose you extra components, hats, snares etc...(these are all component parts of the full kits)

You could even load the second kit into fresh midi track and drag/drop the individual pads from there (that way you have all the specific kits pads in one place)
