Do you know which patch this is?

Post by rdomain » Wed Jun 30, 2010 1:24 pm

Hi all,

Last year I stumbled across a video of a patch (I think) was made with Max4Live. If not, it was Max/Msp. I've been hunting for this video for yonks and cannot find it. From memory, the software allowed you to input a melody and then it was able to harmonise other lines and then modify them to create counter melodies etc. Handy for quick orchestral composition.

Anyone know what this was called or any info where the video is? That would be awesome!

Thanks,

Ritchie

No i'm pretty sure it's not that one. That's the one where you don't have to have any talent at all to use?
Thanks for the suggestion though.

Thanks for the tips. It was closer to the first link as the interface wasn't hugely different (unlike the other one). I believe there were arps involved in the creation of new lines and had more actual control as opposed to the random generative type of apps. We're getting closer. hehe....

But I swear I've spent hours scouring youtube and m4l library lists to no avail. Is there a list of commercial m4l patches? Perhaps it wasn't free?

Oh wow Youtube is getting clever these days! I was just looking at my video's geographic data and noticed that you can trace links back to their source and it brought me here! My vid is the second link above. If anybody wants more info feel free to ask. I'm considering making an Ableton Live plug-in of it but a) I don't know if anyone would buy it and b) I can't decide on a price for it. Anybody got any ideas as to what would be reasonable?

Make an iPad app and retire :) Seriously, it's worth a try. Once you've gotten to where you think you need to be. Think, work and network.
Donation is always a good way to go though.
